I streamed into this show last week and was highly entertained by this bunch of young culprits. I even won a bottle of wine, which I have yet received (starting to get worried).
This is from their facebook group:

Heads up, the new Dark Knight trailer has managed to sneak its way onto the internet. Watch it while you can, because Warner Bros are adamant about keeping it under wraps until Sunday, where the trailer will debut online officially here: http://www.whysoserious.com/happytrails/
For now, enjoy the bootleg while you can: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/210072.html

So my flatmate brang home a copy of ‘Skins’ season one on dvd. A week later, we had finished all two seasons and were dying for more. I was instantly a fan of this show, maybe it was because of the breasts you see every episode, or the strength of the characters, or the fact that the show had a knack of messing with your head all day because it basically made no sense at all. I was amazed when I found out that these 17 year old characters, were played by actual 17 year olds! I guess thats what happens after watching several episodes of the O.C. (what? the characters are 17!).
I immediately went and researched about the upcoming third season and was slightly disappointed to hear that the whole cast will be replaced by with a new line up. I thought it was a joke, I was so attached to the original characters! but then I realised the producers of this show are making a terrific decision.
The characters from the first two seasons have had their time, they’re now past their age and it’s their time to go. We don’t want to see them go to university, leave school, or get married, because in reality, no one really gives a shit. I watched the first season without knowing any of the characters, so why the fuck won’t I do that again?
I’ve got nothing to lose, except sleep.
It’s come to my attention lately that most reviewers are biased morons who jerk off a little too much to something they think is cool.
Grand Theft Auto 4. It’s a pretty cool game. Hey, anything that lets me steal a car, run over an old person and take off with all their money which I can later spend at a strip club gets my vote for sure. But hey, I’m a realistic guy. Sure, the game finally achieves the goal of creating a realistic living city. Liberty City seems like a real place, you actually feel like you’re there. It’s the ultimate city-life simulator. But the framerate is choppy, the animation is poor, there’s texture popping, there’s jaggies, the gameplay hasn’t improved much from previous titles, and also you get chased out of strip clubs for trying to touch the dancers.
What the hell is that shit? The game suffers from a myriad of minor flaws. They’re small, they’re few, but they’re enough to detract from this thing being called perfect. So why the hell are people treating it like the second coming of Jesus Christ? Are people so pathetic today that they need to bullshit themselves (and other people) about something they spent years hyping up to justify its flaws? Whatever happened to journalistic integrity? Or the truth?
People are supposed to rely on reviews to give them a good idea of what to expect in a game. People out there with TASTE are going to buy this game and be cruelly disappointed by what they were expecting to be the Holy Grail, while game critics the world over sit gleefully at their consoles wanking off to the ‘best game since Ocarina of Time.’
Seriously, what. the. fuck.

If you don’t know what Spaced is, it’s an english comedy series starring Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson. It’s fantastic and highly recommended if you’re a fan of Black Books, Big Train, The Office and many other british comedies.
As is the trend with British comedies, Americans just love to remake them. Maybe because they have too much money, but mostly because they have no ideas and don’t understand the British humour.
It doesn’t really bother me though as I’d never watch the American version anyway.
But it’s the case with Spaced that’s really pissed me off. Not only are the Americans doing a remake, but they’re also completely changing the style of the show and are apparently making it more similar to ‘Friends’. Yep. Friends. What has the world come to?
And that’s not all. Edgar Wright (British Spaced director), didn’t even know that his show was being remade until he received emails from disgusted fans, and as was the way with things back in 1998, Wright holds no format rights to the show, and even though Pegg and Stevenson would get paid for the arrangements of their original scripts, they don’t have the ability to call the whole thing off, which any fan would know they would have no hesitation in doing.
A link to Edgar Wright’s thoughts on the whole matter can be found here.
Making a post.
