MASTERRRRRRR!!!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE ?
Well, it appears that good ol MG is at it again. This week he has used his superior infiltration skills to sneak his way into gaming history.

To unlock this Codec conversation in the Classic MGS1 you have to simultaneously press every button on the PS1 controller. While doing a head stand. And repeating the Japanese alphabet. Backwards. In double time.
In the nude…
Seriously, why would we make this shit up? First person to send in a photo of themselves accomplishing this astonishing feat will receive absolutely nothing but our respect and admiration.

Who remembers scouring dungeons as an axe-wielding barbarian and bludgeoning goblins, zombies and other vile creatures spawning out of the dark? I certainly do. Diablo and its sequel Diablo II were some of the best games the PC had to offer back in the day. Finally, eight years after the release of Diablo II, the series finally returns with a true sequel, and it looks set to return gamers to the familiar, gothic fantasy world of Sanctuary with a few new surprises in store.
Full details haven’t been offered yet, but a two player classes have been confirmed: Barbarian and witch doctor. The gameplay still remains top-down, but has been streamlined to allow for more fluidity with attacks and spells.
Unfortunately, there’s no release date set for the game, but here’s some goodies to keep you entertained.
Michel Gondry
I’m sick of people not knowing who this guy is, I was doing charades and did ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’, and no one knew what film I was talking about. Come on people! It’s a brilliant film and stars Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, but it’s also directed by Michel Gondry, an awesome french dude who also directed ‘The Science of Sleep’.
Michel Gondry is perhaps more well known for being a music video director. Everyone knows the film clip for Daft Punk’s ‘Around the World’, but little people know Gondry was the director. I’ve got 3 videos for you (I know, you’re very lucky).
The first one shows Michel Gondry sketching the idea for the film clip on a chalkboard whilst mumbling some french shit that no one can understand, the second film clip shows the the dancers practising their moves and the last clip is the actual film clip itself. Phew!
He’s a very clever man, you can’t understand what the fuck he’s talking about (it’s actually quite hilarious, he spells drum as “DRUMB”), but it doesn’t matter cause he’s drawing awesome shit all over that chalkboard. Yeah!
Thanks Saxby, you’ve done it again!
The people on this popcorn cell phone youtube video, I think I could act better. It’s so terribly fake, but sadly people still believe that cell phones can cook popcorn. One of these people is Stefan, who submitted us this video and was so keen on it being true, but unfortunately we had to break the news to him that there is in fact a heating element under the table.
I reckon if I made a youtube video clip of me cooking roast chicken with cell phones, people would believe it, but hey I better scrub up those acting skills first.
YOU CANNOT COOK POPCORN WITH CELL/MOBILE PHONES. WANKERS!
Oh by the way, I found this link as well, some awesome physicist dude has declared phone cooking popcorn is impossible…

So what is Wordle?
Well it’s a cool site developed by Jonathan Feinberg that makes nice images based on text that you input. The way it makes the images is based on how frequent the word is.
So I thought, it’d be cool if it can generate a ‘Wordle’ based on your last.fm, for example artists with more plays would be bigger in the resulting ‘Wordle’ image. But that would involve copying your favourite artists’ name several times and can be a waste of time, so I’ve made it easier for you. Simply enter your last.fm username, choose what charts you want and then click go.
Note: Results will open in a new window, you then must copy the text and paste it into the ‘Wordle create’ textbox.
Warning: Last.fm users with high playcounts on their artists (for example 2000+ on some artists!) may take alot longer to load the results. Be patient!
New: You can now select top track charts!
I’m not the world’s best coder. So if anyone wants to help me make this work better, shoot me up an email!
I’m guessing that you’re here because you love music. If so I’d really appreciate it if you checked out my solo music: Giraffe Incognito, check it out here:

Here are some examples of last.fm + wordle:
Thanks Saxby, for this recommendation:
Supreme Court Rules Death Penalty Is ‘Totally Badass’
That’s what we called him.
T-Rex spotted this guy out from a mile away, and noticed he was a cross between Cruella de Vil and Eminem.
He was greatful enough to have a photo with us and was delighted to hear he would be featured on Master Giraffe.

We’ve changed host, so from now on Master Giraffe shouldn’t go down on you ever again.
That could be so easily misinterpreted…
So I discovered wordle, and decided that I’d like to map one using my last.fm, and NO, I didn’t make some awesome program that does it all for you, I just copied my top twenty artists, chucked it into word and basically just made my more played artists more frequent by copying and pasting.
Anyway, I think it looks pretty cool and works well for a desktop background. Wouldn’t mind using the black one as a poster somewhere…
