Well, here we are at the halfway point of the year and these are the 2 albums I’ve pumped the most.

2. Ratatat - LP3

Ratatat, the electronic duo from New York City have taken out the number 2 spot. It’s not because of the quality of their music, but its the fact that Ratatat are the coolest looking blokes around. I’d give anything to look like the guys from Ratatat. I saw them perform earlier this year and it was easily the top gig of the year, mainly because I was as close as I’d ever be to touching their beards.

1. Bryan Scary and the Shredding Tears - Flight of the Knife

Bryan Scary has already taken out Person of the Week at Master Giraffe, and now he launches himself into our honourary hall of fame list as he grabs the ‘Top ten albums halfway through the year’ with his album ‘Flight of the Knife’ , performed by his band; ‘Bryan Scary & The Shredding Tears’.

Woah! What a guy, plus he still has time to look like he’s from the baroque period. This album, draws many similarities with artists such as The Beatles, Queen and The Mars Volta. If you actually think very carefully about the album title ‘Flight of the Knife’, and paint a picture with your imagination brush of what it would actually be like, then you’re right on track for what this album is going to take you through.
