4. Dead Meadow - Old Growth

Everyone will admit that they love abit of dirty, grungy rock/blues, well probably not everyone, as there are alot of lame people out there. The Dead Meadow wikipedia page gives them a few genres including hard rock, stoner rock, acid rock, indie rock, neo-psychadelia and heavy metal. Put those together and Dead Meadow hit an all new genre called HARD STONER ACID INDIE NEO-PSHCHADELIA HEAVY METAL ROCK.

3. Sunny Day Sets Fire - Summer Palace

Usually I have to listen to a new album a few times before it really sinks in, but that wasn’t the case with these guys. The opening track ‘Wilderness’ blew me away and just sets the bar for the whole album. Nothing beats a bit of indie-pop. Also, the lead singer’s voice is reminding me so much of another singer and I can’t work out who! Argh if anyone can help me out tell me immediately!

I tell you what this album has been on high repeat during the drama that was June 2008 (Yep, it’s time for the wank music critique). But seriously, this a great album from a band located in England, but are from various backgrounds including Hong Kong, Italy, Canada and the UK. INCREDIBLE STUFF.

How do they to communicate with each other? Let alone write albums?
